The lodge has 67 rooms, including 1 suite, in circular two story chalets with small balconies that are scattered around the property near the edge of the escarpment to give the best views over the clear waters of the lake.

It is believed to have the highest density of large wild mammals in the world, one of the reasons for which is because fresh water can be found here all year round.
