Southern Africa
Our destinations in southern Africa consist of Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. The nature of this part of Africa is incredibly varied, offering everything from high mountains to deep ravines, from dense forests to open plains, from long rivers to high waterfalls and from dry bush to lush forests. It is also possible to relax on a tropical beach on some stretches of coastline here. The varied landscapes means that each country in southern Africa has their own, totally unique, highlights. Namibia is considered to be a desert country offering some really specialised safaris, but it is also possible to see all the classic big game animals here, especially around Etosha National Park. In Botswana, highlights include a safari amongst the many elephants of Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta’s outstanding nature and rich animal life. In Zimbabwe experiences of a different kind await you - including the impressive Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park, which offers the country’s very best safaris. In South Africa you can experience what is perhaps the most famous national park in southern Africa, Kruger National Park, where you have the chance of seeing all of the “Big Five”. South Africa can also offer a city break in Cape Town, beach holidays along the coast, luxurious train journeys with Rovos Rail and much more.
The East Coast
Our destinations on Africa’s east coast are Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar as well as Uganda. Both Kenya and Tanzania are considered to offer some of the very best safaris anywhere and are therefore very popular destinations for people going on their first safari holiday, but they can also offer a lot for more “experienced” travellers. One of the reasons Kenya is very popular is because here you can combine a beach holiday on the beautiful Mombassa-coast with a safari to the game rich reserves of Tsavo and the world famous Masai Mara. In the Masai Mara it is possible to see the annual “Great Migration”, of wildebeest and zebra as it passes through the park before continuing on to Tanzania and the endless open plains of the Serengeti National Park. Tanzania is famous not only for being one of the best and most exclusive safari destinations, but also for the island of Zanzibar, where you can spend a really exotic beach holiday.
In addition to the fantastic safari destinations of Kenya and Tanzania, East Africa contains another real pearl - Uganda, a country where you can experience a very different kind of safari. The absolute highlight of a visit to Uganda is gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Forest, but there are also good traditional safaris in Uganda’s other national Parks.
The Indian Ocean
In the Indian Ocean we offer tours to the Seychelles, Mauritius and Madagascar. On these islands you can make your dream of the ultimate tropical beach holiday come true, but all of these destinations have much more to offer. One thing they all have in common is fantastic diving and snorkelling on the colourful Indian Ocean cool reefs. In the Seychelles the keywords are luxury and comfort, here exclusive resorts and white sandy beaches provide the setting on a holiday in paradise. Mauritius also offers luxurious beaches and lovely resorts, but it is also renown as a wonderful golfing destination. On Mauritius you can also see some incredible natural wonders such as Seven Coloured Earth, that is the result of volcanic activity on the island. If you choose to visit the island of Madagascar you will experience something that is absolutely unique. Like our other Indian Ocean destinations Madagascar can offer beautiful white beaches, but the island also offer some exciting safaris, and the chance to see its endemic wildlife - animals that live on Madagascar and nowhere else.
And More…
In addition to our safari holidays in Africa we also offer safaris in India. This country is a melting pot of wonderful scenery, great wildlife and incredible culture. This combination makes Indian a popular destination. The best place to see wildlife is in the parks of central India, where you can encounter the iconic big cat, the tiger. India also offers many other classic big game animals such as elephants, rhinoceros, water buffalo and much more. India’s many cultural attractions include the world famous Taj Mahal. We can safely say that India is the very best safari destination outside the continent of Africa.
