PRE-DEPATURE INFORMATION

Your Travel Documents:

Your travel documents will be sent by e-mail circa. 10 days before departure unless otherwise arranged.

If Misunderstanding Arise:

If - against all expectations - any problems arise during your holiday which you are unable to solve  yourself, you MUST contact us either by telephone  on (++45) 56 36 25 45 during office hours, or on our emergency number outside office hours.

It is too late for us to solve any problems or mistakes after you return home. Therefore, please be aware that it is extremely important that you inform us immediately if any insoluble problems arise. We can only act on any such complaint if we have been properly informed at the correct time.

If you don’t follow these guidelines, you can loose the right to make a claim for compensation, according to Danish Package Travel Law § 26.

Your Flights:

Check-in:

We recommend that you always arrive in the airport in good time.

With most airlines it is possible to check-in online 24 -48 hours before departure. You can always find the current regulations for check-in on the relevant airline’s website.

Occasionally your flight departure time may be changed, therefore it is VERY IMPORTANT that you check your actual flight time on the day of departure on VIEW TRIP, where you enter the booking number of your flight together with your surname.

Baggage Regulations:

We use many different airlines on our tours. Therefore the amount of both check-in and hand luggage you may bring with you can vary. Check the information given on your flight ticket or contact us if you have any questions about baggage.

Printed on your flight ticket are the letters PC = the no. of items of check-in baggage each person may bring.

PLEASE NOTE: Always look for the lowest number of kilos allow on your itinerary, as this will be the limit for your whole trip.

PLEASE NOTE: There can be specific regulations governing the number and weight of baggage items depending on your destination or tour. See the practical information for your specific destination for more details.

REMEMBER: sharp and pointed items such as knives and scissors, and containers hold more than 100ml of fluids may not be carried in hand luggage, but must be packed in your check-in baggage.

If you are in doubt about how much baggage you are allowed to bring on your flight, you are naturally always welcome to contact us.

Seat Reservations:

On many flights it is possible to choose a specific seat, on payment of a small fee. You can do this on the airline’s website or we can do it for you at a cost of DKK 250-.

Please note that the airline cannot guarantee seat reservations as the type of aircraft used on the route may be changed before departure etc.

Good Packing Tips:

We recommend that you, and any companions, pack your suitcases is such a way that you can both do without one of the suitcases in the case of your luggage being delayed. If this happens it can take a couple of days before your luggage is finally delivered to where you are staying.

NEVER pack your camera in your suitcase, especially when it is full of your photographs. Always bring it with you in your hand luggage.

Bringing Medicines:

If you have taking medicines with a narcotic effect, and not just sleeping pills or strong painkillers but even something and harmless as Kodimagnyl, and need to bring them on holiday then social regulations apply. Generally we recommend bringing them in their original packaging, however it can also be necessary to bring documentation such as a doctor’s prescription. Read more here: medicine on holiday.

We recommend that you pack the following in your hand luggage:

  • Passport
  • Visa
  • Flight tickets
  • Insurance documents
  • Credit cards and cash
  • Malaria tablets
  • Vital medication
  • Camera & binoculars
  • Mobile telephone & other electronic devices

Important information regarding car hire:

Credit card deposit

When you pick up your hire car all drives must present a credit card. Most rental companies will NOT accept debit cards such as VisaDankort as a valid credit card.

We recommend that all our customers carry an alternative creditcards to help prevent any unfortunate situations on your holiday.

Examples of valid credit cards: Mastercard, Diners Club and American Express.

Driving License

If you have booked a hire car during your holiday, you should be aware that some rental comapies require that you are in possession of an Internation Driving License. You can check online where you can get one in your country of residence. You will need a passport photograph when applying for one.

Indemnity Form

If you are going on a photo safari you will normally be asked to sign an Indemnity Form on arrival.

Basically you are acknowledging that you realise you will be going into an area where there are wild animals, and anything that may occur will be under your own responsibility, and that you can’t blame the safari company or its employees in the event of an accident.
