On this short Kenyan safari you can enjoy exciting wildlife encounters in Kenya’s biggest national park, where the chances of experiencing The Big Five – elephant, lion, rhinoceros, leopard and buffalo are really good.
The chef at Aruba Lodge offer some real nice meals which, if you wish can be accompanied by excellent wine, all served in an open sided restaurant with great views of the beautiful surrounding area.
At the end of your safari adventure, three nights in a lovely 3-4-star beach hotel, right next to the Indian Ocean are awaiting you. Here you will have plenty of opportunities to relax on the beach, take part in some watersports, or simply enjoy sitting by the pool.
Fly with Turkish Airlines to Mombasa via Istanbul.

Arrive in Mombasa in the early hours of the morning.
On arrival at Mombasa’s international airport our friendly personnel will be waiting to greet you. You will be driven to the Travellers Beach Hotel which is only 45 minutes from the airport.
You will have the rest of the day free to relax and enjoy the Indian Ocean and the hotel’s many facilities.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, your guide together with a comfortable safari vehicle will await you. Over the next few days he will take you on an exciting safari adventure.
Together you will set off for Tsavo and its impressive animal life. After travelling for a few hours you will arrive at Aruba Lodge. On the drive here you will have doubtlessly already have seen your first wild animals in the breathtaking African countryside.
After you have been taken to the room where you will spend the next couple of nights, it is time for lunch. After having had some time to relax, there will be a game drive in the late afternoon, after which you will have dinner and spend your first night on safari in Africa.

At sunrise, 06.30 in the morning, you will drive out onto the savannah. The beautiful morning light combined with the freshness of the savannah, often make the early morning hours the best time to see animals. Amongst the big game animals you can see in the park are lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, baboon and the elegant beautiful giraffe-gazelle, also known as the gerenuk.
After an exciting safari you will return to the lodge where a very generous breakfast buffet will be awaiting you. During the day you can relax and enjoy the swimming pool.
In the afternoon you will again go on safari, finishing when the sun sets at 18.30.

After breakfast you will start your return journey towards Mombasa and the Kenyan coast. The drive back through Tsavo often offers some exciting safari experiences, and there will be plenty of time to stop and take photos along the way.
Back at the Travellers Beach Hotel on the Kenyan Coast, over the next few days you will have time to properly digest your safari adventure and enjoy the lovely beaches and the Indian Ocean.

You now have three full days to enjoy your beautiful surroundings and the Indian Ocean.
The Kenyan coast is perfect for a relaxing beach holiday after an eventful safari. The coast offers many different activities both on land and on the water - and even in the skies.
The district has three golf courses, of which the two 18 hole courses in particular are of very high quality. There are also plenty of opportunities to place tennis on some excellent courts.
If you need some city life then Mombasa, Kenya’s second largest city with over 1 million inhabitants, can offer shopping in the Old Town district around Fort Jesus or at one of the local craft markets.
At sea you can enjoy many different types of sailing tours, exciting big-game fishing for a really big “trophy”, as well as snorkeling and diving on the coral reef - and whatever your reason for being at sea, you will have a great chance of seeing dolphins swimming around your vessel.
You will be collected from the hotel first thing at night and driven to the airport from your flight home.
After catching a connecting flight in Istanbul, you will arrive back in the early afternoon.

It is divided into western and eastern sections by the main road and railway line between the country’s two biggest cities, Nairobi and Mombasa. The park is home to the country’s largest population of elephants, which numbers around 12,000 head, and the rare black rhinoceros as well as many large baobab trees. From the small western section of Tsavo, in clear weather you can see the snowy peak of Kilimanjaro. This section of the park is very hilly, the landscape dominated by recent volcanic activity. Here you can also find a number of wetlands and the impressive Mzima springs, with their hippopotamus and crocodiles, where around 220 million liters of crystal clear water gushes forth from the ground every day, a small proportion of which is enough to supply Mombassa with water via a long pipeline. This underground spring water has its original source in the rainfall on Kilimanjaro and the Chyulu Hills.
