On this tour you will stay at Silver Beach, a 3 star hotel on the east coast of Mauritius. Here beautiful white sandy beaches, clear turquoise water and a lovely climate all await you. Mauritius has something for everybody, whether you enjoy just relaxing on the beach, or taking part in a lot of activities and excursions. Enjoy the island’s spectacular nature
Central Mauritius is dominated by dramatic volcanic mountains, beautiful waterfalls and lush forests, all surrounded by fertile farmlands producing the islands most important crop and export - sugar cane.
Exciting wildlife with a fascinating history
Mauritius is a relatively young volcano that arose only around 8 million years ago. Because of its geographical isolation, a range of unique plants and animals arose here, the most famous of which is the extinct flightless bird, the Dodo. This strange bird lived in the lush nature of the island, where there were no predators to threaten it, but it did not survive the arrival of people. Sailors discovered the island in the 1600s, and caught large numbers of these birds to provide meat for their long ocean voyages on which fresh supplies were often lacking.
Your tour day by day
DAY 1: DEPARTURE FROM N. EUROPE
Depart in the mid afternoon for Mauritius, stopping over in Dubai.
Naturally all meals and drinks are included on your flight.
DAY 2: ARRIVAL IN MAURITIUS
You will arrive in Mauritius late in the morning. After you have passed through immigration and customs you will be met by your local guide who will drive you to your hotel.
You will spend the next 7 nights in the hotel, on an All Inclusive basis .
DAYS 3 - 8: RELAX AND ENJOY YOUR BEACH HOLIDAY
You have six full days to enjoy your fantastic surroundings. Explore the island’s many attractions, and experience its beautiful nature.
DAY 9: DEPARTURE FROM MAURITIUS
Your fantastic holiday is now drawing to a close, and late in the day you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
DAY 10: ARRIVAL HOME
After a stop over in Dubai you will land back in N.Europe in the early afternoon.
