Savuti Game Reserve
Savuti is, in our opinion, one of the very best safari destinations in Botswana. Here the chance of seeing both cheetahs and lions is very high. It is also, in the wet season one of the best places to see African Wild Dogs, of which only 200 still remain in the wild here in Botswana.
Savuti is a very dry district, unlike most of the other safari destinations in Botswana. The reserve is also quite hilly, with volcanic rock formations that rise above the nearly endless savannah.
Over the years, Savuti has also been the setting for many of the best nature films to come out of Africa.
