Malindi
Malindi is the classic holiday destination for many locals and has through history been the small and cosy town to vistit if you wanted to get away from the big coastal city Mombasa.
The beaches surrounding Malindi and the neighboring city to the south , Watamu, are exquisite and the 25-28 degrees warm ocean hosts the Watumu Marine National Park which is a part of the giant coral reef. A paradise for snorkelers and divers.

Malindi as a city is a very nice experience. The tempo is very calm an you feel a small blow from Kenya which most will not expeirence. Not far from the city and the beach you can fin the Arabuko Sokoke forest offering an exotic and unique birds, elephants and the "forgotten" ruin-city Gedi.
