Tarangire Sopa Lodge in Tanzania is located in the Tarangire National Park, hidden away between hills, old baobab trees and grassland, 33km east of the main entrance of the park. This national park is home to Africa’s biggest concentration of elephants, and the occasional elephant will visit the lodge’s unfenced grounds.
The lodge has 75 rooms in circular buildings with conical roofs, inspired by African villages. They lie in blocks of four, scattered on either side of the common areas. Each building houses two rooms on each floor. Each room has its own bathroom, lounge and veranda overlooking the surroundings. The lodge can accommodate 150 guests. The lodge has a swimming pool, with wooden bridge leading to an island in the middle. The lodge is 118km/a 2 hour drive south west of Arusha. The flight time to Arusha is 20 minutes, plus a 40 min. Transfer time from Kuro Airstrip to the lodge.
