Rift Valley Photographic Lodge
Rift Valley Photographic Lodge lies in the Rift Valley in northern Tanzania and is surrounded by some of the most sought after destinations for a photographic safari in the country. This makes the lodge an ideal base from which to explore a number of different destinations such as Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Lake Natron and the Engaruka Ruins.
The Lodge is built on a ridge cloaked in bushland trees, and offering a splendid view of Lake Manyara. The lodge buildings are inspired by the circular huts seen in Masai villages. The main building, which houses the public areas, has been built around an old baobab tree, in the traditional Masai manner.
Guest accommodation is provided in 15 chalets and two family houses, all with their own veranda. They are all connected to the main building and the public area by raised walkways. The lodge naturally also offers a swimming pool and a restaurant.
Rift Valley Photographic Lodge lies around 120 km west of the city of Arusha on the route to the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengetis Plains. From Arusha Airport it is around a 2 hour drive to the lodge.
