Ashnil Mara Camp is a new lodge built in a prime location for watching the animal life of the Mara Rivers. The camp lies in the heart of Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve, a place famous for the countless wildebeest and zebra that come here during “The Great Migration” from July to October. The lodge is close to the confluence of the Mara and Talek Rivers which are renowned for the crocodiles and hippos that live in them.
The camp has 40 permanent, spacious luxury tents built under a solid roof, all furnished with a bathroom, walk-in closet and veranda, from where you can enjoy the direct view out to the savannahs wildlife. The property has a restaurant and outdoor bar. The lounge is located in the main building, away from the dining area. After the day’s game drives you can enjoy a dip in the camp’s swimming pool.
From the camp it is possible to take part in game drives, guided nature walks, a balloon safari or cultural visits with the Maasai tribe etc. In the evening you can be entertained by a performance of traditional dance or sit around the campfire in the boma.
The camp is a 4-5 hour drive from Nairobi or 45 min flight plus transfer time. From the Mombasa Coast the flight time is around 2 hours.
