Arusha Coffee Lodge
Arusha Coffee Lodge lies on the outskirts of the city of Arusha, in one of Tanzania’s biggest coffee plantations on the hilly slopes at the foot of Mount Meru. As the lodge lies to the west of the town it is only a 5 - 10 minute drive from Arusha Airport.
The lodge has been built around the old residential that belonged to the plantation owner, which dates back to the early 1900s. There are 30 rooms, all with a private bathroom, which include 12 plantation suites that are spread out through the coffee plantation. The lodge is decorated with memories from the farmhouse’s past. The main building houses an a la carte restaurant and the property has both a pool and a lovely garden terrace.
A “From the bean to the cup” tour of the coffee plantation takes around one hour. The closest national park is Arusha National Park.
The transfer time to/from Kilimanjaro Airport is between 1 and 1 1/2 hours, depending on the time of day. There is around a 35 minute drive between the lodge and the city centre.
